HB 1471-FN AN ACT relative to telemedicine
This bill requires appropriate tele-medicine services to be recognized as reimbursable by insures. Telemedicine is a growing method of healthcare delivery. It allows patients to receive quality healthcare regardless of location, time, and availability of specialty medical services. (Prepared by Cynthia Cohen, DNP, RN, RN-BC, CNL)

A public hearing on this bill was held on January 10, 2018, attended by Joan Widmer, Nurse Executive Director NHNA. The bill moved to subcommittee.
On January 31, 2018 the House Committee on Health, Human Services and Elderly Affairs voted this bill "ought to pass"
On February 8, 2018 this bill was transferred to the Houses Committee on Commerce & Consumer Affairs.
On February 14, 2018 this bill moved to subcommittee for consideration, it is not due out until March 6, 2018.
