Free Protective Equipment Program

Do you have a terrific idea for an event to promote safe and healthy activities for the children and families in your community? A new initiative of the Injury Prevention Center at Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth can help you, thanks to a grant from Kohl’s Cares. Here’s how it works: you organize an event to promote activities like walking or biking and the program can help by providing planning assistance, free safety equipment like bike helmets and reflective gear, informational materials (brochures and posters), and publicity. Maybe you’d like to put on a bike rodeo, a pedestrian walk, a health fair or a safety presentation at a school. The grant can turn your great idea into a successful event. Applications are due by January 2, 2018 and the event must take place by August 1.

For more information, call the Injury Prevention Center at 603-308-2253 or email James.E.Esdon@hitchcock.org .
