There are many bills before the NH legislature that impact nursing and healthcare in general in New Hampshire. We strongly suggest you review this list – which includes a search link to check individual bill status. If you become aware of additions you feel NHNA should address, please contact our office. 2012 Health Policy Days - March 20 & 29
These half day sessions help increase awareness of nurses and nursing students about the process of political advocacy and just how much RNs can impact health / nursing related legislation. School groups should call early to discuss block seating. Individuals should register with this form.

Delegation to Medical Assistants: Safe and Effective Teamwork
Many questions are regularly posed to both the NH Board of Nursing and NHNA about the role of the licensed nurse in the delegation of patient care related tasks to medical assistants. This prompted the establishment of a task force of key stakeholders. After many months of collaboration, this toolkit and recommendations were developed.

NHNA Members: Call for Scholarship Applications
NHNA is committed to supporting educational advancement of NH nurses. This year we are offering three, $1,000 scholarships to NHNA members enrolled in degree programs to continue their nursing education. One award each will be available to an RN pursuing a Bachelor’s /BSN; one pursuing a Master’s in nursing, and one working toward a PhD or DNP. Download the application and submit as directed. Deadline is on November 10th.

The New Hampshire Nurses' Association (NHNA), the organization which represents the interests of over 19 thousand registered nurses in the State, registers its deep concerns about the State budget which has passed the New Hampshire House and is now about to be reviewed by the New Hampshire Senate.
