Registered Nurses function as part of the healthcare team, providing direct patient care, education, and advocacy for patients and their families. They use observation and assessment skills to support nursing diagnoses, which help to create a plan of care for patients. They care for ill patients, promote health and wellness and disease prevention. Practicing as a Nurse is a rewarding and fulfilling career.

Currently there are over 2.7 million nursing positions in America and the demand for nurses has never been greater. Demand for Registered Nurses is expected to grow at a rate of 21-35%.

Nurses work in hospitals, clinics, schools, wellness centers, long-term care facilities, hospices, physician offices, home settings, and temporary staffing agencies.
